Aim:
De-stigmatise dementia and create a dementia-inclusive society.

Why:
Debunk myths of dementia and change the negative perception of the disease.

Where:
Silver Circle Centre and public areas.

What:
During the World Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in September, the cadets distributed bookmarks to members of the public, and took the opportunity to share about their initiative. Designed and created sensory kits to engage participants.

How:
Participants at the session made handicraft out of fabric; these were displayed at the exhibition booth that the cadets managed at Silver Circle Centre’s event, “Colourful Minds, Beautiful Memories”. Before that, the team also attended a workshop on Dementia Care to gain a better understanding of the disease.
