Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kindness Badge Award?

  • The Kindness Badge is a mark of distinction awarded to students of Uniformed Groups who have completed tasks or projects that promote kindness and graciousness amongst their peers, within their schools, and to their families and communities. Achieving this badge identifies them as Ambassadors of Kindness. It is awarded by the Singapore Kindness Movement to students who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to fostering a gracious society.

Where do I register for the KBA workshop?

  • Students, please inform your Teacher I/C.
  • Teachers, please click here to register for the workshop.

How early should I register for the KBA workshop?

  • As the sessions are limited, please make an online booking at least 2 months in advance.

Can my Uniformed Group attend both Workshop A and B?

  • As the sessions are limited, each Uniformed Group is only entitled to one workshop. Teachers-in-charge are to select either Workshop A or Workshop B based on the preference of the majority of students.

Can my Uniformed Group register for the workshop if we have fewer than 30 students?

  • Please email us at [email protected] to request for a slot. Smaller groups may wish to combine with another Uniformed Group in the school to register for the same workshop.

Oh no. My Uniformed Group is not listed. Can I still sign up?

  • Yes, you may participate in KBA but you will not be able to wear the badge at the moment.

Can I attain the kindness badge without attending the workshop?

  • We highly recommend completing KBA Phase 1 (One-of-a-Kind Workshop) before moving on to Phase 2. Schools that skip Phase 1 will have their projects considered for the kindness badge on a case-by-case basis.

Can I participate in KBA Phase 1 (workshop) but not in Phase 2?

  • Students who participate in Phase 1 will receive a token of acknowledgement but will not attain the badge until completion of Phase 2 (group-initiated kindness campaign).
