Theme: Local-Foreigner Integration

Write-up: Deciding to shed light on the issues of discrimination faced by migrant workers, the NCC cadets of Compassvale Secondary created an Instagram page to post content aimed at enhancing local-foreigner integration in Singapore. They shared about harmful stereotypes and some of the struggles that migrant workers are met with, and posted relevant news headlines and photos expressing their thoughts on respect and empathy. A few posts also made reference to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on migrant workers in Singapore, and the students shared how a little kindness goes a long way.
